Our Wheel Templates are a perfect answer to a common problem. In a tabletop, rank and file games like Old World precise measurement might be a key to victory. You measure the distance with normal tape measure, then you declare a charge just to realize your unit won't make it. An inch can make a huge difference when movement is limited.
Wheeling is a complicated topic, because you try to simulate a circular movement with a tape measure that can only work with distances between unit A and unit B. Until now there was no universal too, that is easy to use and works with ALL the square bases. It doesn't matter if you unit is 50mm, 75mm or 250mm in length. It always work.
The formula is quite simple:
- take the appropriate template for (25/50, 30/60, 40mm). We will use 25mm for this example
- count number of models in the first rank (let's say there are 6 of them)
- if you move by the distance of 1 on the template just multiply it by 6 and...
- Viola! Your unit wheeled by 6 inches
- if you do it for models with 50mm bases no problem! Just multiple number of models by 2, and by 3 for 75mm bases, and so on
Each full line marks the numbers, i.e. 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, etc. Each small line mark is 0.05 so you can move at smaller increments as well. Align it with the line on the rotary part and you are good to go.
